Beginning on February 1, 2021, the Martin County South Youth Athletic League (MCSYAL) will be accepting registrations for the 2021 Football and Cheer season. Registration will be open through August 15th, or until teams are full. Returning Panthers will receive priority registration until March 31, 2021. After March 31, 2021, registrations will be on a first-come first-serve basis. We are expecting several of our football and cheer teams to reach capacity for the 2021 season! Please register early to make sure your child(ren) secures a spot!
Registration Fees
The registration fee for both football and cheer is $250.00. No refunds will be granted after June 19, 2021. Football registration includes a personalized jersey, integrated game pants, socks, equipment bag, and a compression shirt. Helmets and shoulder pads are available to rent and must be returned at the end of the season. Return dates will be provided at the end of the regular season. Cheer registration includes a practice uniform, bow, backpack, shoes, and socks. Sideline uniforms and competition uniforms must be returned at the end of the season. Return dates will be provided at the end of the regular season.
Discounts
MCSYAL offers a $25 sibling discount for each child after the first registration. We also offer a $25 Early Bird Discount for anyone who registers and pays by March 31, 2021.
Registration Process

Step 2: Turn in the following documents at any of our In-Person Registrations (to be announced).

Step 3: You will receive a text message/email (depending on your preference) with an invitation to your team’s Band group. Register with Band at www.band.com. You can choose email or app notifications.
Volunteer Hours
MCSYAL is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. Without volunteers, there would be no association. Your help and support are needed and appreciated. A participant representative is required to volunteer at least six (6) approved hours during the regular season, and an additional four (4) hours for families with more than one (1) participant. The representative can be family, friend, etc. and does not have to be the same person each time.
Scholastics
Pop Warner is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom prior to permitting them to play/cheer. Pop Warner believes the standards that the organization has set give the children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later in life.
Pop Warner requires a minimum 2.0/70% or equivalent GPA from each of its participants. Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required from all participants.
Pop Warner understands that not all student-athletes are able to meet the organization's scholastic requirements. If a child does not meet the requirements of scholastic fitness, he/she may fill out and submit a Scholastic Eligibility Form. This form must be accompanied by a progress report or report card for the participant to be eligible to play.
Academic All-American Scholar Program
Each year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner participants compete for Academic All-American status. This process begins at the association level and ascends up through each of the eight Pop Warner regions to the national level. Students in the 5th grade or higher, with a combined GPA of 96% or higher (or equivalent) will be submitted for this program. After the applications have been processed, Pop Warner determines National First Team All-Americans (35 for football per grade level and 35 for cheer per grade level), National Second Team All-Americans and National Honorable Mention. Pop Warner All-American Scholars are in the top 2% academically of all Pop Warner participants nationwide.
